University City, California
University City is a community in San Diego County that is bordered by Clairemont to the south, La Jolla to the west, Miramar to the east and Sorrento Valley to the north. University City acquired its name from the University of California, San Diego. UCSD lies west of University City in La Jolla. There is a clear division between the separate parts of University City. South of Rose Canyon lays the older part of University City, often called University Square. North of Rose Canyon is the area in University City referred to as University Towne Centre.
Residents of University City are covered by the State Court Houses located in San Diego. Court houses available include the Madge Bradley Building located at 1409 Fourth Avenue, the Family Law Court House located at 1555 Sixth Avenue, and the San Diego Superior Court House located at 220 West Broadway. The Madge Bradley Building hears Probate cases.
