Cardiff-by-the-sea is a beach-oriented neighborhood located as part of the community of Encinitas in San Diego County. Unlike the other communities in Encinitas, Cardiff has a separate zip code. With a population of over 11,000 residents Cardiff’s beach and lagoon are located on the southern side of the community. There are two schools located in Cardiff; they are Cardiff Elementary and Ada Harris Elementary.
